The EXP®2 Stem Holder (15-02-03996) is the standalone reusable holder for the current EXP2 Stem system. It is Direct-Connect hardware used with EXP2 Stem Trap packed stems and the established EXP2 Stem Filter insert type.
This page is for the reusable holder hardware only. The separate EXP®2 Stem Trap product offers a Stem Trap Kit that includes this reusable holder with fittings and three packed stems. Replacement Stems 3/pk include three replacement packed stems for use with an existing EXP2 Stem Holder.
In the trapping configuration, the packed stem fits into the reusable EXP2 Stem Holder, which connects directly to a 10-32 port. When assembled with the EXP2 Stem Trap packed stem, the floating stem automatically adjusts to the port depth and provides a zero-dead-volume connection.
The holder incorporates an integral front-end ferrule, eliminating a separate front-end ferrule to manage, and includes an EXP2 AIO Fitting.
The holder seals to 8,700+ psi when hand-tightened and to 20,000+ psi (1,400+ bar) when wrench-tightened. Configuration-specific pressure limits take precedence where lower; always operate within the pressure limit of the installed EXP2 Stem Trap or EXP2 Stem Filter configuration.

The standalone holder is distinct from the Stem Trap Kit: the Stem Trap Kit includes the reusable EXP2 Stem Holder with fittings and three packed stems, while Replacement Stems 3/pk are replacement packed trapping elements for use with an existing holder.
The holder is also used with the EXP®2 Stem Filter. This established Stem Filter use does not change the Trap compatibility model.
When assembled with the appropriate EXP2 Stem Trap packed stem, the Direct-Connect system positions the floating stem directly into a 10-32 port. The stem automatically adjusts to port depth to provide a zero-dead-volume connection.
